plum jam....yummy!


i took some plums from the Blake Gardens, yes, the blake garden, where I got the lavender and lemon balm. i volunteer there, and these are the perks! so i made jam, i have never made jam before, and now am obsessed. it's easy, fun, and delicious. i had 2 cups of cut plums and i added 1 cup of cut apricots, which i got from the berkeley farmers market, and 1/4 cup brown sugar. i added the fruit and sugar in a pot with some water, didn't even measure the amount, and just let it sit and cook for about an hour. the whole house smelled like plums! it was wonderful!
